My Story

Meet Wendi, Nutrition Consultant

Wendi has been passionate about healthy food for over twenty years.  She learned at a young age that the food we eat and how we fuel our body is as important as our exercise routines.  As an outdoor and ocean enthusiast, she knows firsthand how important nutrition is to fueling her lifestyle of hiking, stand up paddleboarding, and running on the beach with her dog, Kona. 

As a stressed-out single mom, Wendi discovered the game-changing power of meal planning and prep; suddenly she had more time in her life, not to mention the energy to pursue her passions.  In 2016, Wendi enrolled in the Nutrition Consultant Certification program at Bauman College, and graduated in 2018, with honors.

My Approach

Wendi enjoys helping others achieve optimum wellness through diet and lifestyle changes and educating about food as preventive medicine.  She believes in working as a team, with clients, other doctors, and practitioners all coming together to ensure success in meeting one’s health goals.  Wendi specializes in personalized, complete nutritional programs, “Pantry Makeovers”, food sensitivity/intolerance menus, and holding your hand through simplifying meal plans and preparation, shopping lists and grocery store tours.  She will cater to your flavor preferences and individual health concerns and will use gentle guidance and encouragement to help you love your food again.

Meet Dr. Erica Oberg

Dr. Erica Oberg is thrilled to be partnering with Wendi to make the world’s healthiest eating patterns available to everyone! Both my personal research and that of others has shown that plant-based diets are the best pattern for longevity, reversing chronic disease, and simply feeling your best!  

Dr. Oberg provides medical review and nutritional analysis of Zest meals meaning you can stop worrying about what to eat and feel confident that our menus are appropriate for even the most health sensitive person. Just as important as WHAT you eat, Dr Oberg’s research has shown that HOW we eat matters too! Enjoying flavorful, creative, diverse meals prepared with love nourishes our spirits as well as the body.

Trained as a naturopathic doctor with over 15 years of experience in integrative medicine and NIH-sponsored health and nutrition research, Dr. Oberg is actually not a full-time vegan herself, she occasionally pairs her meals with grilled wild Alaskan salmon.
